About Santa Post

Belief has always arrived with a reading list. Santa Post covers that literature across traditions: scripture and its translations, theology written for general readers, memoir, monastic writing, poetry shaped by liturgy, and the presses that keep such books in print. The audience includes believers, former believers, clergy, students of religion and secular readers who understand that a great deal of world literature cannot be read without knowing what its authors prayed.

The house form is the profile. Writers sit with translators, scholars, publishers, chaplains and novelists, and report what they say rather than what the tradition prefers. Nothing here is written to convert, and nothing is written to mock. Claims of fact are checked against sources. We do not run devotional content presented as reporting, and we do not treat any tradition as a curiosity for outsiders to inspect.

Faith covers belief as practiced and argued; Reading guides people through demanding religious texts. Culture follows how religion shows up in film, art and public life, while Essays carries longer personal and critical writing. Publishing reports on religious presses, imprints and translation projects, and Scriptures examines primary texts, editions and commentary. Conversations holds the interviews. Faith News keeps the record of institutions and appointments, and Business News covers the economics of religious publishing.
